A peaky blinders inspired mood board for the boudoir

Posted on

Recently I have found myself immersed in the alluring era of the 1920’s, dressing up in kind for two fabulous themed events in as many weeks. First was ‘The Eden club’ a fictitious pop up of immersive theatre and dining with the ‘feasty blinders’ in London and again this weekend at the amazing wilderness festival in Oxfordshire for the theme of ‘club Weimer’ and I’m totally hooked.

So this sultry, sexy, decadent and sophisticated era presents itself as the perfect mood for my luxe boudoir board this week,

The era’s glamour and sex appeal are a heady cocktail and our continuing fascination with the 1920’s seems to roll on. The allure of the speakeasy bar, even though prohibition is long since over, is still thriving on the London bar scene and its hardly surprising we are quickly seduced out of yoga leggings and trainers and into costume when elegant sequins, beads and feathers are on offer.

The colours

seductive rosy red and midnight blue, are softened with the muted tones of gold misty grey and deep deep blue.

The textures

The luxe textures of brocade, fronds, faux fur and crystals contrast with classic tweed and adding a sexy touch of masculine.

So indulge yourself in the decadence of the era, in the privacy of your own boudoir of course!

Have fun…
