THE BRIEF
A boho chic glamorous makeover for a sadly neglected 1970’s Abbey caravan.
The caravan required stripping out to reveal any damp. The addition of a Shower, water heater and cassette toilet. A double bed, vanity area, fitted cupboards and a new kitchen to include fridge, gas oven and hob. A seating/dining area for 2, occasionally 4, and an awning for outdoor seating.
THE PROJECT
After stripping out and revealing the areas that needed replacing, The layout was redesigned to create a permanent double bed with under storage and adjacent shower & WC. A vanity unit and fitted cupboards were also added. The original sink was salvaged and brass tap was added for a touch of glamour, to work alongside the Carrera marble effect worktops and splash back. A new fridge and oven were fitted with surrounding cupboards and drawers, as well as a flip up/down worktop for extra workspace.
The original seats and table remained, new upholstery in the same print as the wallpaper was added a gold hammered finish Formica was used to recover the original table. The flooring was overlaid with pine wood effect laminate boards.
The exterior was printed onto a vinyl in the same print as the wallpaper and the caravan was wrapped. A bespoke retro style canopy awning to the exterior completes the look.
