This is my mum..
She would have been 75 today..

Like many mothers and daughters we had a difficult relationship and I spent most of her life vowing I wouldn’t be like her..
❤️
Now I find I’m just like her in many ways and as a mature and wiser me I can see that many of the things that I disapproved of were not who she was but the result of the life she’d lived which was very different to mine..so our beliefs were often different
❤️
In essence she was a strong, authentic, individual and determined woman, who loved to laugh and have fun..
❤️
Her favourite song was “I am Woman” by Helen Reddy long before Sex in the City made it famous again..
❤️
I realise I live by many of her favourite sayings & responses like..

“Just milk please, no sugar, I’m sweet enough “ 😜A sense of humour
